Let's Begin the Impression Taking Process

  • Mix and Shape

    Step 1:

    Mix and Shape the Putty

    • Mix: Put on the gloves and mix the base and catalyst putty for 45 seconds until the color is even (no streaks).
    • Roll: Shape the putty into a ball, then roll it into a 4-inch long sausage within 5 seconds.
    • Place: Spread the putty evenly in the tray within 5-10 seconds, making sure it covers the entire arch of your teeth. Avoid pressing too hard.
  • Step 2:

    Take Your Upper Teeth Impressions

    • Place the Tray: Put the tray(for your upper teeth) in your mouth for 3 minutes.
    • Align the Handle: Ensure the handle is centered under your nose.
    • Bite into the Putty: Make sure your teeth are centered in the putty, avoiding the edges.
    • Remove the Tray: After the time is up, remove the tray with one smooth downward motion.

    Step 3:

    Take Your Lower Teeth Impressions

Follow the same steps for your lower teeth impressions (If you need dental impressions for both arches).

  • Step 4:

    Snap Photos of Your Teeth

    • Take photos of the practice impression and upload them on the Aligner Tracker App for feedback and guidance. This step can save time and money by potentially avoiding the need for additional impressions.
    • Use the cheek retractor during the process and take photos of your teeth from five different angles. Make sure to upload these images in the Aligner Tracker App as well.
